Hi, Year 5 soon to be Year 6!
Just a quick note to say how much I am looking forward to being your teacher next year. What’s even better, for most of you, is that you know me and I know you! I know what a fantastic cohort you are and I know that with if we embrace our school drivers and values we will spend a hugely enjoyable year together.
For those I don’t know, and as a reminder for others: my name is Mr Leverett, I love teaching Year 6 because we get to delve into topics at a greater level of complexity and really feed our curiosity. I consider myself fair, have high expectations for myself and those who I teach – in essence - I want you to try your hardest, it does not matter if you are right or wrong, it matters that feel pride for the work you produce.
Outside of school, I love to read, play golf, go cross-country running and help my local football team: Boroughbridge. I am married and have 3 sons: Ed who is thirteen, Will who is sixteen and Sam who is nineteen – all mad on football (Sam has recently sign his first profession contract with Swansea City in Wales – we are all very proud of him). The next family project is to get a dog so I might need some advice from you dog owners out there.
Just to reiterate, I am really, really, really excited to be you teacher next year!
